Illustratore e pittore, nasce a Vasto nel 1940. Viaggia molto soprattutto lungo le vie degli oceani, perfeziona la sua cultura artistica frequentando importanti musei internazionali, ama definirsi autodidatta. Tra le numerose opere importanti ricordiamo l'illustrazione de I King, realizzati per la Rizzoli in una tiratura di 480.000 copie, i piatti di Cristoforo Colombo o ancora il XLIV Premio Bancarella. Recentemente la sua città natale, Vasto, ha voluto fargli omaggio commissionandogli per i musei civici di Palazzo D'Avalos 16 opere raffiguranti gli antichi costumi abruzzesi. Pier Canosa ha esposto nelle più importanti gallerie nazionali ed internazionali.
Illustrator and painter, born in Vasto in 1940. Pier Canosa has travelled a lot especially by sea, and improved his artistic knowledge by visiting important international museums. He loves to define himself as an autodidact. Among many important works we remember the illustration of “I King”, made for la Rizzoli in an issue of 480,000 copies, the plates of Christopher Columbus, and il XLIV Premio Bancarella (the XLIV Bookstall Award). Recently his hometown, Vasto, has wanted to honour him by ordering his 16 works portraying in an antique Abruzzo’s dress for the town museums of Palazzo D’Avalos. Pier Canosa has exhibited in the most important national and international galleries.
